They can be allowed to reach heights of 10 - 15', or trimmed to as low as 1', & can be sculpted in to numerous shapes & forms. A member of the olive family, the privet has dense, glossy , evergreen leaves, perfect for a year-round living privacy screen. They grow quickly, tolerate drought well, & are not picky about soil type. Privet's fragrant spring flowers are quite lovely, & birds will love munching on the ornamental berries in the autumn.
